working on the eyes

Because Todd was being an instigator, I made him come outside with me and be my model.  I told him that I really wanted to work on taking pictures of eyes. I should have never said that.  He wouldn't let me even see his eyes for a long time.  This is what I got...

but finally, he cooperated.

ephesians 3:20-21

It says it right here in Ephesians 3:20-21."Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Immeasureably more than I ask or imagine.  And He does just that.  Over and over again, He answers the prayers I haven't even spoken.  Things I would never even pray for.  Things I would not consider important enough to trouble Him over....and yet, here He is again answering one of these little things.  He doesn't have to do it, but He does it anyway.  His love for me is tremendous. 

I'm going to get to do something I had given up on.  It's a gift from Him!

paper roses

A friend of mine told me about this really cool website called Stumbleupon.com.  You can specify your interests and it stumbles you upon websites that match those interests.  I stumbled upon this really neat tutorial on making paper roses here.  I just had to try it.  Can you tell that I love to try new things, especially when it is with stuff I have right here?  I think these would be so pretty on top of a gifts and I have other ideas too.  I did use a glue dot to kind of hold the bottom together.

i heart faces photo challenge: Beautiful Eyes



i never could do this before

Do you remember friendship bracelets?  I do.  I never could figure them out.  I would try and try and finally give up and just braid the embroidery floss.
Well, I saw a tutorial on Craft Gawker yesterday about making friendship bracelets .  I trouble at first, but after three tries, I finally figured it out.  These are my trials. 


And this is how my final bracelet turned out.

starting someting new

Look, I don't like to fail at anything.  I would like, really, to be the one who never fails at anything and in my flesh I might even project that image.  I'm sorry.  I do fail.  Lots.  The fear of failing can even immoblilize me to a point and cause me to despair.  Until He reminds me of who He is and He tells me to let go of my expectations.  And to trust in Him.  Then I see Him working and I remember His faithfulness and I step forward trepidatiously.  I'm so thankful, Lord, for your Word and Truth and the immutability of your nature.
